Race Day 3 - Champagne Sailing and International Happy Hour

Part 1 - Champaign Sailing, 3 races in

Wonderful sailing condition, slightly shifty 3-4 Bft allowed for three races back-to-back.

No new at the top, Cerri / Bertolani are unstoppable, scoring another 3 race wins, now with 6 pts from 7 races, one discard, they are well on track to become our next World Champion,  followed by Cabello / Cabello (today’s results: 14-2-2) with 15 points.

On third place we see another change, with Johan and Annouk Vissia moving up one place ( 4-2-5), 28 points overall.

Full results here.

Tomorrow will be our final race days, start is scheduled for 11:00 hrs, three races are planned and the forecast is looking good.

Part 2 - International Vaurien Happy Hour

A tradition that started many year’s ago as the Dutch Happy Hour, the Dutch team sharing national specialties, drinks, and snacks, over the last few years grew to something bigger: The International Vaurien Happy Hour has almost all countries joining forces, each bringing something from their home, to share with the Vaurien community.

This way we enjoyed a wonderful evening with French wine, Italian pasta, Belgian beer, Spanish saefood and many more. Delicious.

Part 3 - Vaurien Youth Tombola

And then the final act: The Youth Tombola, used to raise money for Vaurien Youth projects. Over 500 tickets were sold and many prices drawn, shirts, caps, bags, accessories from.

Many thanks to the sponsors, most noteworthy the Faccenda shipyard. Thank you Marco,
