Another sunny day with nice winds, 3-4 bft, and only little chop allowed for an on time start at 11:00 and three races back-to-back.
While Olmo and Gioio (CERRI / BERTOLANI, ITA) played it save and covered their closed competitor, Pablo and Isabel CABELLO and secured the top position (today’s results: 5-3-1), it almost was too much for the Cabellos. French routiniers Francois-Xavier DROUGOU and Caroline GUILLOUX sailed their best day (3-2-6) and caught up in points, but remained on 3rd due to less 2nd place races.
For the Dutch team of Johan and Anouk Vissia, it was a dissapointing day, their rudder fitting broke during the first race and they had to sail with a fix: a rope to hold the rudder in place. Still, with 9-6-13, they held fast to 4th place overall.
The fleet was back on shore around 15:00 hrs. Cleaning and packing started immediately for the trip home.
Price giving it scheduled for 18:00 hrs.
